Film Quick Start Guide
The whole guide in a minute
Set up, first pour, clean and store. Jump to a chapter from the film or scroll on for the steps.
01 First use
Set up your system
Insert your first Pure Argon Capsule. You only do this again when a capsule runs out.
- Slide the clamps up
Press the Clamp Release Catch and slide the SmartClamps all the way up.
- Insert a new capsule
Unscrew the capsule cup and drop in a Pure Argon Capsule, round end first.
- Screw the cup back on completely
You will hear a pop when the capsule is in place.
- Slide the clamps down
- Clear the system
Press the trigger quickly to release a short burst of gas. You are ready to pour.
Keep the cup closed. Do not unscrew the capsule cup again until the capsule is empty, or gas is released and wasted.
02 First use
Pour your first glass
Four moves, the same four every time.
- Insert
Hold the bottle and push down firmly on the top of the system so the needle goes through the cork or Coravin Screw Cap.
- Tip
Tip the bottle over your glass as you would from an open bottle, neck lower than base.
- Press
Press and release the trigger quickly to pour. Tip the bottle up to stop. Wine only flows when the trigger is released.
- Remove
Hold the bottle and pull the handle straight up. Removing the system after pouring keeps oxygen out of the bottle.
Then. Give the cork a few seconds to reseal, wipe it, and store the bottle on its side.
03 First use
Clean & store
Thirty seconds after every bottle keeps the needle clear and the next pour clean.
Clear
Before and after each use, press the trigger quickly to clear air or wine residue.
Clean
Rinse warm water through the spout. Use the needle cleaning tool for any cork particles in the needle.
Store the wine
Treat each bottle like you intend it to last. Cool, dark, on its side.
Box Also in the box
What's in the box
You will also need a bottle with a natural cork or a screw cap, and a glass.
Cap Also in the box
Coravin Screw Caps
Swap the bottle's own cap for a Coravin Screw Cap and pour through it like a cork.
- Check the white liner
Make sure it is firmly in place. If not, press down to secure it.
- Swap caps straight away
Remove the original screw cap and replace it immediately with the Coravin Screw Cap, before pouring a glass.
- Pour as usual
Follow Pour your first glass.
Air Also in the box
Coravin Aerator
The equivalent of 60 to 90 minutes of decanting, as you pour.
- Push the Aerator onto the spout
- Pour with a slightly longer press
Hold the trigger a little longer for an optimal stream.
- Remove and rinse before storing
? When you need it
Something not right?
The five things people ask in week one.
Wine isn't flowing
Check the bottle is tipped so the neck is lower than the base and the wine touches the cork. Press and release the trigger again. With a new capsule, make sure the cup is screwed on fully (you heard the pop).
I hear gas but no wine
The needle may not be fully through the cork. Remove the system, check the needle, and push down firmly in one motion until the clamps sit on the neck.
How many glasses per capsule?
Around 15 standard pours. Quick presses of the trigger use less gas than long ones.
Can I use it on a screw-cap bottle?
Yes, with a Coravin Screw Cap. See Coravin Screw Caps.
The needle looks bent or blocked
Use the needle cleaning tool for blockages. Never straighten a bent needle; replace it. Needles unscrew by hand.

How the page is built
One template, two URLs (/signature/start and /signatureelite/start) that land with the right model selected. Every chapter is an anchor today and can become its own page later without changing the task list at the top. Full shoot requirements are in the video brief audit.

- Box contents. The live Timeless page gives Three+ Screw Caps and the Aerator; the Signature script is cork-only with no Screw Cap or Aerator chapter. Product to confirm before the flat lay is shot.
- Script numbering. Two steps numbered 5 in Signature set-up; shot numbers skip 2, 15 and 16. Fix before the production quote.
- Figures. Glasses per capsule (15 is used here) and the Aerator claim (60 to 90 minutes vs "up to 90") need one agreed number each.
